American Healthcare
Institute (AHI) is approved as a provider of continuing
nursing education by the Maryland Nurses Association (MNA),
an accredited Approver by the American Nurses Credentialing
Center’s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC). Under the ANCC
approval system, state nursing associations enjoy
reciprocity.
|
In
addition, AHI is a recognized provider of nursing credit in Florida (Provider
#FBN 50-99-1). AHI programs also meet the CNE criteria established by the California
and Ohio Boards of Nursing and the criteria for Type I contact hours in Texas.
Nurses licensed in other states are encouraged to direct any additional questions
regarding recognition of contact hours awarded through the ANCC system to the
authoritative body in that state (i.e., board of nursing or nurses association).
AHI is an approved provider of continuing
education through the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses
(AACN Provider
#00012818).
Diabetes Educators:
Because AHI is an approved provider of continuing education
through the ANCC approval system and by the American
Psychological Association, AHI's diabetes-related courses
are accepted by the National Certification Board for
Diabetes Educators for CDE renewal of certification. |
SEMINARS: Participants attending each
one-day seminar will be awarded 7.5 Contact Hours in Nursing (or 15 contact hours for each
two-day program). Many AHI seminars also have been assigned AACN contact hours; please
refer to individual seminar descriptions for contact hours and category code information.
To ensure receiving your personalized certificate of attendance on the day of the seminar,
your registration must be received at least 5 business days prior to the seminar date.
Registrants who sign up less than six business days before the seminar is held will, upon
request, have their certificates mailed to them. For a complete listing of AHI nursing
seminar topics, and to search both by geographic area and specialty area, click here.
AUDIO PROGRAMS: AHI offers a complete
library of accredited seminars on CD, now in "Listen Anywhere"
format. All AHI Audio Library selections are
approved through the Maryland Nurses Association (MNA/ANCC System) and many have also been
assigned AACN contact hours. Please refer to individual Audio Program
listings, searchable by category. Or, you can contact AHI
for a complete listing of available selections.
CONFERENCE ACCREDITATION: Accreditation
for each conference is determined on an individual basis, depending on conference topic,
title, length, and other factors. Please consult individual
conference listings for more details. |
